സാത്താൻ തന്നുടെ ബലമഴിപ്പാൻ
രക്ഷകൻ ഇക്ഷിതിയിൽ വന്നു

3 തൻ മുഖപങ്കജമതിലടിച്ചു
തലയിൽ മുൾമുടിവച്ചാഞ്ഞടിച്ചു
മുതുകിനെ ഉഴുതതുപോൽ പൊടിച്ചു
യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം;-
4 ക്രൂശിൽ കൈകാൽകളെ താൻ വിരിച്ചു
ക്രൂരൻമാർ ആണികൊണ്ടതിൽതറച്ചു
കൊടിയ വേദനയെനിക്കായ്‌ സഹിച്ചു
യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം;-
5 ചൊരിഞ്ഞു തൻ രുധിരം എൻയാഗമായി
നുറുങ്ങിയെൻ പാപത്താലേശുവിൻ മെയ്
തകർന്നു തൻ ഹ്യദയം എൻപേർക്കായ്
യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം;-
